The Juice Box Journal is operated by Really Random Studio, LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”). We create personalized print magazines for children. If you have questions about this policy, contact us at hello@reallyrandomstudio.com.

2. Information We Collect

To create your personalized magazine, we collect:

• Child profile information: Name, age, occasion, favorites (animal, food, color, show, character), hobbies, achievements, wishes, funny moments, and other details you provide about the child.
• Family & friends information: Names, ages, and relationships of people you add to the profile (siblings, parents, friends, pets).
• Photos: Photos you upload of the child and family members for use in cover illustrations and magazine content.
• Appearance details: Gender, hair description, and skin tone for illustration accuracy.
• Dedication message: The personal message you write for the child.
• Payment information: Processed securely by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers.
• Shipping address: Collected by Stripe at checkout for order fulfillment.
• Email address: For order confirmations and shipping updates.

3. How We Use Your Information

• Magazine creation: Profile data is sent to AI services (Anthropic Claude, fal.ai) to generate personalized articles, stories, horoscopes, jokes, puzzles, and illustrations.
• Cover & illustration generation: Uploaded photos are sent to fal.ai for AI-powered illustration generation. Photos are stored in our cloud storage (Supabase) for the duration of your order.
• PDF generation: All approved content is compiled into a print-ready PDF.
• Order fulfillment: Shipping details are shared with our print-on-demand partner to print and ship your magazine.
• Communications: Your email is used to send order confirmation and shipping notification emails via Resend.

4. AI Processing & Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to create your magazine:

• Anthropic (Claude): Generates text content (articles, stories, horoscopes, jokes). Profile data (not photos) is sent for content generation.
• fal.ai (Nano Banana): Generates illustrations and transforms photos into cartoon/illustrated versions. Uploaded photos are sent to fal.ai for processing.
• Stripe: Processes payments securely. We never see or store your full card number.
• Supabase: Stores magazine data, photos, and generated content.
• Vercel: Hosts our website.
• Resend: Sends transactional emails.

These services process your data according to their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review them.

5. Children's Privacy

The Juice Box Journal is a product purchased by adults (parents, grandparents, gift-givers) for children. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children under 13. All information is provided by the adult purchaser. The child profile information is used solely to personalize the magazine content.

If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child, please contact us at hello@reallyrandomstudio.com and we will promptly delete it.

6. Data Retention

• Magazine data & photos: Retained for 90 days after order completion to allow for reprints or customer support, then deleted.
• Order records: Retained for 2 years for accounting and legal compliance.
• Email address: Retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion.

You can request deletion of your data at any time by emailing hello@reallyrandomstudio.com.

7. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, secure cloud storage with access controls, and payment processing through PCI-compliant Stripe. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Request access to the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Withdraw consent for photo processing

9. Cookies & Analytics

We use essential cookies for site functionality. We may use basic analytics to understand how our site is used. We do not use advertising cookies or sell your data to third parties.
